Pet-friendly restaurant Bubbledogs is in the heart of London’s Fitzrovia. It’s laid-back ambience, high-stool dining experience and exposed brickwork make it ideal for a relaxed lunch or dinner with fido and friends. It’s novel dining approach, with handmade ingredients decorating a number of posh hot dogs, and extensive bubbly selection, has London foodies queuing round the block.

Food and Drink

At Bubbledogs

The restaurant has the kind of vibe that’s been the signature of many Soho openings of late – relaxed, but stylish and exceptionally cool, you don’t necessarily pop in for a long meal, but you’ll definitely have a great one.

Hot dogs are the focus of the menu – there are 9 to choose from, from a classic BLT with crispy bacon, caramelised lettuce and on-trend truffle mayo, to the Mexican-inspired José, with fresh salsa, avocado, sour cream and pickled jalapeños. The restaurant prides itself on the quality of ingredients; all toppings are handmade, buns are hand-rolled and sausages are expertly crafted by the chefs. The snack list and their signature tater tots have a great American feel. Try one of their dips, including eggplant caviar or retro French onion, if you’ve got room on the side.

Let’s not forget the champagne… the drinks menu spans five pages and 90% is of the bubbly variety, with most of their handpicked grower champagnes sourced directly from the producers. If champagne isn’t your thing but you’re desperate for a dog (of the hot variety), a small selection of wine, beer, cocktails and soft drinks are also on offer.

Doggy delights

Fido is welcome anywhere in the restaurant, ask for a water bowl to keep him happy while you eat.

By day

The restaurant takes bookings for parties of up to 12 at lunchtime; it’s advisable to book in advance if you’re planning to pop in for a dog-friendly lunch.

From dusk

Unless you’re 6 or more, you’ll need to walk up and try and nab a table. Don’t worry if they’re full, you can put your name down and they’ll drop you a text when your table is ready, so you and your pooch can go for a drink or a wander while you wait.

The extra bits

Keep an eye out for their special events. For National Tater Tot Day this year, diners could design their own loaded tots with up to four ingredients for just £4. Delicious!

It’s also a great option if you’re staying at the nearby St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, only 20 minutes away on foot. For inspiration see our dog-friendly London destination page.

All aboard

The bus or tube is a far easier way to get to Bubbledogs with your dog, if you’re not jumping in a cab from nearby. Goodge Street station on the Northern Line is a one minute walk away, or it’s 10 minutes to either Oxford Circus or Great Portland Street stations if you need the Victoria, Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan lines. A short walk south to Oxford Street will give you and fido plenty of bus options to take you to most London destinations.
