At Foxhill Manor
Luxurious, chic interiors, and the welcoming feel of home, combine to create an unforgettable stay. Dog-friendly rooms include spectacular baths, superlative showers, large sumptuous beds, a tablet, a digital radio, Nespresso machine, WiFi and Temple Spa products.
All bedrooms and suites are wonderfully dog-friendly, so human and hound can pick their perfect slumber spot together.
For a cosy, comfy spot, try the Willow room. With Nina Campbell’s hydrangea wallpaper, and the feel of a country cottage, this pretty room has a dual-aspect view from its first floor position, a roll-top bath, and a shower big enough for two.
For an indulgent, autumnal delight, pick the Maple room. With a decadent curtained sleeping area, reminiscent of a Bedouin tent, and a sweeping curved sofa to sink into, this is a den and a half. Or, for the best view in the house, pick Birch, with its reading nook perfectly positioned to enjoy the scenery.
For its serenity and style, select Juniper. This spacious ground floor room has a decadent bathroom and muted turquoises throughout. It can be arranged as a double or twin. Alternatively, if a four-poster has your name all over it, pick the triple aspect Chestnut, the largest of Foxhill Manor’s bedrooms. With a modern chaise and a dining table for four, private dining with fido would be a pleasure! Be sure to check out the the room name mirror trick in the hallway.
Keen to keep an eye out for the new arrivals? Then the Beech suite, with views over the sweeping drive, is for you. Muted taupe and yellow accents combine to make you want to hunker down – and fear not, if you disagree on what to watch, there are TVs for both of you. The roll-top bath by the windows is also a real treat. With views over the valley beyond, the Hazel suite, with its metro-tiled bathroom and cosy lounge area, is also a perfect place to rest awhile.
While every bedroom is truly special here, we must give a special mention to the Oak suite. It’s vast, with several seating areas, a sofa in front of the fireplace, a large bathroom and a dressing area. With the perfectly-paired freestanding baths (one of each of you) facing the valley beyond, your only problem will be trying to drag yourself away.
Dogs will be delighted to find a cosy dog bed, a bowl, and treats guaranteed to get tails wagging, waiting for them on arrival. There is also a delicious doggy menu on offer, created by the Chef.
Human and hound abound
With over 400 acres of Farncombe Estate for you and fido to explore, borrow some wellies, take the nature trail and let your dog sniff out the route.
Relax and revive
Also on the Farncombe Estate is sister venue, Dormy House. Foxhill Manor guests have full use of the magnificent spa here, and your host will happily drive and collect you, so there’s no need to say no to that second champagne in the nail bar. The spa includes a 16m infinity pool, outdoor hot tub, and Scandi-style thermal suite with a hot Finnish sauna, gently warming lavender room and salt steam room, as well as a thalassotherapy room and experience showers. There is also an invigorating ice fountain, alongside seven treatment rooms. For further details, see our Dormy House listing.
The extra bits
Foxhill Manor’s host is on hand 24 hours a day – this is what service is all about.
There is a lovely terrace, with views over the valley beyond, perfect to enjoy a sundowner at sunset. On a winter’s eve, try the media room; with its enticing TV beanbags, and popcorn on tap, it will keep even the biggest of kids entertained. Alternatively, retire to the sumptuous lounge and put your feet up in front of the fire.
For a special event, we would highly recommend hiring the whole house.
Children under 12 are not allowed to stay at Foxhill Manor, unless they are part of a private party hiring the full venue. For a family-friendly favourite, try sister venue, The Fish, also on the Farncombe Estate.
