Warm and cosy furnishings blend both comfort and elegance throughout. Low ceilings and dark-wooden features add a country house feel, and eye-catching artwork featuring man’s best friend, by Katharine Lightfoot, adorns the walls from the restaurant to the bedrooms. Dog-friendly rooms include big comfy beds, Molton Brown toiletries and homemade flapjacks.

Good Rooms come as a twin or double. They are the cosiest in the hotel but still provide a comfortable base for you and fido to enjoy the countryside surrounds. Very Good Rooms are more generously-sized, with most having beautiful garden views.
A dog bed, bowl and treats will be waiting for fido on arrival.
You’ll find plenty a friendly pooch as you step out for an afternoon stroll around Tetbury. With boundless Cotswolds’ countryside to explore, pack fido’s coat and your Dubarrys ready to hit the walking trails.
The back entrance to the hotel opens straight onto the adjoining terrace and garden where your dog can stretch his legs first thing.
Cots and extra beds are available on request, and a children’s menu is available in the bar.
A dining destination in it’s own right, The Garden Room Restaurant provides a relaxed yet sophisticated setting, bathed in daylight during daylight hours, and boasts an a la carte menu full of modern British classics with some adventurous twists.
Dogs aren’t allowed to join you in the restaurant, but you can both enjoy delicious food in the bar, library lounge or on the sunny terrace, just don’t forget to leave some room for afternoon tea.
Fido will receive a warm welcome in the bar at The Close, whether its your morning coffee before you set off on your day’s adventures, or a gin and tonic before you both retire to bed.
The hotel does not currently offer room service.
A special occasion? Host a private dinner for up to 20 in the intimate Cloisters Room.
The ancient market town of Tetbury is right on your doorstep and perfect for a morning or afternoon stroll before you venture further into the surrounding countryside; you’ll find plenty a shop or cafe welcoming to both human and hound.
A leap and a bound away, the Westonbirt Arboretum, a stunning collection of over 15,000 types of trees from all corners of the globe, makes for a pawtastic playground. Silk Wood, representing two thirds of the arboretum, is dog-friendly, so your four-legged friend will have plenty of space to chase a bird or two and partake in a game of fetch.
If you’re looking for a paw-stop for lunch while out and about, sister venue The Hare & Hounds Hotel will welcome you with open arms (and a few open paws) at dog-friendly Jack Hare’s Bar, a short drive away.

Tetbury is situated on the A433, at the half way point between Bristol and Cirencester and around 2 hours from the Capital. Parking is available free of charge on site.
Kemble is the nearest train station – 8 miles away – and is served by fast services from Paddington (and slower trains from nearby Cheltenham via other Cotswolds towns). Book a taxi in advance for the final leg of your journey with your pup.
