At Cowley Manor

Art, style and unexpected flourishes abound at this colourful, contemporary countryside manor house. Dog-friendly rooms include spacious surrounds, supremely comfy king-size beds, Blu-ray player, Bose sound system, LCD screen, WiFi and Green & Spring toiletries.

Pawfect slumbers

Two of the Better Rooms are reserved for pooches. Located in the Stable Block, they are arranged over two floors, offering plenty of space for you all to relax and unwind. Bold, beautiful colour blocking has been deployed with an expert hand, and rooms feature large bathrooms with separate showers and big baths – perfect to ease away aches and pains.

Your pup will find a dog bed, bowl and treats waiting for them on arrival.

Human and hound abound

With the hotel’s glorious Grade II listed gardens on your doorstep, you and your dog will be bounding out to explore. Bring a long lead for your dog, and hunt out the hidden art pieces in the gardens, the chain of lakes from the River Churn and the Victorian cascades, before walking through the meadow to take in the magnificent manor.

Relax and revive

Not to be missed, the hotel’s C-Side spa has two wonderful pools, with many a lounger to go around. A 17m atmospheric, green slate-lined indoor pool looks out through its glasshouse surrounds to the 15m outdoor pool, heated year round – perfect for a balmy night time swim beneath the stars. In the summer, the outdoor pool transforms with sun loungers and a bar. The pool areas are open from 7.30am during the week (8am at weekends) to 9pm; with a couple of hours in the day where junior C-Sides may also join.

There is also a steam room, sauna, relaxation area, drench showers and a gym as well as an enticing range of therapeutic treatments by Green & Spring – try the Cloud 9 treatment – bliss! Treatments are available from 9.30am to 8pm, 7 days a week.

My husband proposed to me at Cowley Manor so I was so pleased to find out that it is dog-friendly and so we can still go there now that we have Alfie. Alfie had a whale of a time running around the grounds before we sat down at a sunny table on the terrace for a yummy afternoon tea. We will definitely be visiting again with Alfie.
