At the Eastbury Hotel

West Country charm abounds here. This homely hotel is ideal for enjoying relaxed country life with a luxurious twist. Dog-friendly rooms include Egyptian cotton linens, robe & slippers, a host tray with a selection of teas, coffees and White Company toiletries. On your arrival you’ll be greeted by home-baked cookies fresh from the kitchen.

Pawfect slumbers

Enjoy the ambiance of the beautiful walled garden in one of the Garden Deluxe Rooms. These cosy hideaways are luxuriously furnished with plenty of spaces to unwind with your pup.

For an extra sumptuous stay, try one of the five Victorian Garden Potting Shed Suites. These beautifully designed and spacious rooms aren’t just dog-friendly. They’re eco-friendly too, with moss and sedum roofs decked with flowers. All feature en-suite wet room facilities and a private terrace where you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast beside your pup.

It’s not just humans that receive the first class treat at The Eastbury. Pups are greeted with a welcome pack featuring a bed, bowl, treats and toys. Pawfect for helping them to settle in.

Human and hound abound

Enjoy a stroll around the market town, Sherborne is the ancient capital of Dorset and steeped full of history and culture. There’s plenty of winding streets and historic buildings to sniff out with your pup. If you’re a fan of the bracing sea air, then take a short car journey to the nearby Jurassic Coast and enjoy a stroll along this stunning World Heritage Site.

Relax and revive

Leave your pup snoozing after long country walks and head for a serene spa session in the onsite Eastbury Spa by Amelia Rose & Caudalie. This indulgent idyll is set into the wooded area of the walled garden, creating a beautifully peaceful atmosphere to enjoy a therapeutic treatment by Caudalie or a leisurely dip in the hydrotherapy pool. Finish your visit by soaking up the magical atmosphere as you enjoy an herbal tea in the relaxation area. The spa is open between 9am and 6pm daily, with a resident’s only session between 11.30am and 2pm.

The extra bits

There are no out-of-limits areas to dogs inside the hotel, so be sure to explore all of the nooks and crannies of this lovely townhouse.

Rollaway / extra beds are available for a surcharge of £30 per night. Cribs (infant beds) are available for an extra £20 per night.

With sweeping vistas of the walled garden, conservatory restaurant Seasons is the pawfect place to enjoy a leisurely meal alongside your pooch. If the weather allows, take your meal outdoors to the terrace and enjoy the fresh country air alongside the view or for a truly unique dining experience try The Pod. A glass sphere set in the beautiful gardens, you can enjoy the serenity of this snug space alongside the ambience of the garden.

Boasting 2 Rosettes for culinary excellence, the focus is on fresh, seasonal and local with herbs handpicked from the hotel garden sitting alongside produce from local growers and suppliers. The menu features a plethora of West Country delicacies with a modern twist that will satisfy foodie people.

Food-loving pups don’t miss out on the dining experience either, with a dog menu on offer to satisfy your canine chum.

Hotel bar

Cosy up in the Eastbury’s cocktail lounge. This plush and inviting space is open to humans and hounds and much like the restaurant focuses on fresh ingredients. This time served up alongside artisan gins, rums & whisky.

Whether you’re sipping on a cocktail or enjoy a pint of something cool, it’s a thoughtful experience, with every drink on offer selected to sit alongside the menu in the restaurant. While, hotel owners, the de Savary family add a personal touch with hand-selected wines.

Where We Are


Sherborne is the ancient capital of beautiful Dorset, and this pretty market town is packed full of historic spots to explore with your pooch. Stroll along the winding streets towards the centre of town to view the medieval Abbey, while Sherborne Castle and the medieval ruins of Sherborne Old Castle are located just to the East of the town.

Just a short car drive and you’re in amongst the gloriously green Devonshire countryside and breath-taking Jurassic Coast.

Hit the road

If you are coming from London, take the M3 towards Winchester. Just after Basingstoke take the A303 towards Yeovil. Sherborne is just off the A303 before you get to Yeovil. If you’re coming from the North or the South West, Sherborne is about 30 miles from the M5; and it is about halfway between Bristol and Bournemouth on local roads.

All aboard

If you are coming by train, Sherborne station is about three and a half hours’ ride from London, with a change needed at Reading or Basingstoke. To plan your journey go to trainline.com. Sherborne station is a 5 – 10 minute walk from the hotel or you can ask the hotel to send its own branded taxi cab.
