The Wild Rabbit is a modern British gastropub, headed up by Executive Chef Tim Allen, and is a feast for eyes and stomachs alike. Only the finest ingredients will do at this Michelin-starred restaurant, with many picked from their own garden. Be sure to make room with a pre-meal walk, before you relax by a roaring fire in the welcoming and stylishly understated dog-friendly bar, or enjoy the sunny terrace in the summer months. Fido will be right at home while you sample a glass of wine from an exacting list prepared by the in-house sommelier.

Reservations are not taken, so just mosey down and pick a seat.

Food and Drink

At The Bar at The Wild Rabbit

While dogs are not allowed in main restaurant, The Dining Room, they can dine with you in The Bar. The Wild Rabbit serves seasonal British cuisine and celebrates traditional fare, brought bang up to date by Executive Chef, Tim Allen, to whom a Michelin star was awarded here in October 2016. Using exceptional produce, with a passion for supporting British farmers and artisan producers, many ingredients are picked fresh from their own garden every morning.

The Bar and Terrace menu for lunch and dinner is short but sweet and constantly evolving, with tempting treats such as avocado carpaccio with pumpkin seed and sunflower granola, and Daylesford organic lamb, cutlets and flank, with garden peas, roasted tomatoes and a light lamb broth.

Reservations are not taken in the bar or terrace, so just mosey down and pick a seat.

Doggy delights

With a large terrace for the summer, and roaring fires for colder climes, your dog will find a delightful spot to rest their paws and keep a sniff out for regular passing pups (and the treats on the bar!).

By day

A lunch at The Wild Rabbit is perfect to combine with a walk in the countryside. Enjoy lunch with fido and friends, for a celebration of British ingredients cooked with care.

From dusk

Bustling with locals and visitors alike, The Bar is a hive of activity in the evening. Enjoy a Château Léoube wine from Daylesford’s own French vineyard, or an artisan offering from one of the other small independent vineyards represented here. Alternatively, perhaps a craft beer is more your style?

The extra bits

Several sumptuous dog-friendly rooms and cottages are also available at The Wild Rabbit – so why not stay a while.

Children’s menus are available.

Private Dining can be arranged in The Chicken Shed – a private room complete with wonderful decor, and no fowl!

Where We Are

Surrounded by beautiful Cotswolds’ countryside, make sure you leave time for fido to enjoy a good mooch down the nearby footpaths.

Inspired to pick up some produce to recreate your meal at home? Combine with a walk with fido over to sister venue, Daylesford Farm, home to the original Daylesford farm shop. More than just a farm shop, browse tempting produce, simple and stylish ceramics and glassware, clothing, plants and toiletries. There is also a cookery school and the Bamford Spa. While dogs can’t go in to the cafe or shops, there is a large central courtyard you can enjoy together over a tasty treat. There is also doggy parking if you’d like to quickly nip into a store while fido takes a breather.
